A little history about Peace Earth and Justice News aka PEJ NEWS.0RG and PEJNEWS.COM:
In 1996, Al Rycroft and Jim Wight collaborated to form PEJ News.org. They formed an editorial board in which Al Rycroft was the chief editor and Jim Wight was technical support.
In 2004, I was invited to sit on the editorial board . I was named the Common Security Editor because I was more concerned with the interdependence of issues.
The site was then renamed PEJ News.com.
In 2010, Al Rycroft asked me to take over the website; which I did until 2021 when Godaddy informed me that our site, which contained an archive of over 11000 articles, could no longer function . Due to the extensive archive content, on occasion we would have as many 2000 viewers checking in at any given time.
As a result of the above situation, I recently decided to set up this site drjoanrussow.org to document my years of activism (including my involvement with PEJ news); writing or posting articles written by others. I had been previously informed that the articles temporarily existed on Archive.org so I arranged with someone create this site and transfer the articles here. I am still maintaining the original domain name and with that, there may be a possibility that pejnews.com could be resurrected in some form in the future.
I have tried to preserve the various fonts and writing styles as submitted by the various writers at PEJ News rather than detracting from the authenticity of the authors simply for the sake uniform fonts.

This archive is a current work in progress; begun in March 2022 when our PEJ News site became inaccessible.
Please also note that since the adore-mentioned PEJ news site is now no longer active. Links posted in this extracted archive may or may not continue to connect to original locations and a small amount of content may be temporarily misaligned due to original formatting. This will be fixed at a later date.
Additionally, some pictures which were formerly embedded in the original site, have not been transferable (due to overlays being linked to the originals) without saving each and every picture in every article to our current site. We are working on making this better but the code and embedding used in the original site has made this quite a challenge. We may make this large endeavour a project in the future but my priority now is to preserve the written content of these important articles that were once posted at PEJNEWS.COM. Links from the original site that are visible in our web should continue to work as long as the archive exists but I can make no guarantees on that; which is one reason why I am saving the content here.
Articles are sorted by “Last Updated” (bottom of article) date (rather than “posted by” date at top of article) but may also, on occasion, possibly by “posted” date if no last updated date is available.
I have done my best to sort the PEJ news articles at least by month and year; albeit, not always by date of month due to the archives being out of order in many cases.
Finally, some articles may not be found in our archive due to the fact that the “read more” link at the bottom of the article (now resident only in the archive site) simply avails no expanded document content meaning the expanded content was not captured by the archive site.
